New York Gov Andrew Cuomo punts and makes sweetheart deal with SEIU on Medicaid that still increases spending

Story

So much for the conservative sounding Democrat, Andrew Cuomo.

The New York Post which has become part of Andrew Cuomo’s propaganda arm, has described this deal between SEIU’s 1199 and Andrew Cuomo as quote “dramatic agreement”.

If you believe that, then I’ll be selling the Brooklyn Bridge tomorrow at noon for $1.78. Be there!

The first thing that must be understood is that SEIU donated thousands of dollars to Andrew Cuomo’s campaign for governor of New York.

They expected payback for their investment and as surely as the sun rises in the East, they got it!

As such, Cuomo is obligated to this public sector union like most other Democrats across the nation. New York is on the brink of bankruptcy like the other one party (Democrat) controlled states such as California, New Jersey and Michigan to mama a few.

So the trick for Cuomo is to appear to the public as if he’s actually looking out for their best interests while simultaneously batting his eyes at the unions, “Don’t worry I’ll take care of you in the end.”

Here’s how he does it and the shameless New York Post is helping him shovel the feces in the faces of New Yorkers.

Spending on Medicaid is limited to a whopping 52.8 billion dollars with a “B” this year, “capping”, not cutting, the state’s share at 15.1 billion and allowing no more than 4% growth each year going forward.

4% may not sound like a lot. But, try to find a savings account anywhere in this country paying 4%?

If I knew my salary would increase 4% a year in these very rough fiscal times, I would be doing an Irish jig at my desk everyday at lunch while praising the Lord Jesus.

But, what we really have here is another wink wink sweetheart deal between a Democrat governor and a public sector union that are sleeping in the same bed plus Sandra Lee. But, I digress.

Cuomo is putting slightly less expensive, but expensive nonetheless, lipstick on the same pig and calling it Ms. Universe. He’s doing exactly what other Democrat governors have done in this state for years by kicking the proverbial can down the road.

Slowing down the rate of spending is still spending in the final analysis and only puts off the day of reckoning for another day. The Titanic that is New York is still sinking while Cuomo rearranges the deck chairs and proclaims the hole is plugged.

A governor showing real leadership would have cut the spending by 4% and instituted a real “hard cap” that promises not to go up a single penny year after year.

Prior to election, I argued vociferously that there was no way in the world that Andrew Cuomo, sounding like a conservative for the purposes of getting elected, was going to turn his back on his bed partners in the unions.

This charade of a deal proves my suspicions were on the money.

This is not leadership for the people of New York. Only fools and ill-informed Democrat s who voted for Cuomo would fall for such baloney.

It’s a sham, a bait and switch meant to bamboozle suckers with their hands out like LeRoy down the street. Some may think that Andrew Cuomo is a new kind of fiscally responsible Democrat. He’s nothing of the sort and this deal insults the intelligent of New Yorkers who are really paying attention to the fraud from Mount Kisco. They’re sick and tired of taking it in the shorts at the hands of this illicit relationship between Democrats and unions. Under Cuomo spending will continue to rise and he’ll talk about phony “caps” on spending and try to pass them off as cuts in spending. This is the same kind of verbal alchemy that invented the “jobs saved” statistic.

Can you now understand why it’s in the best interests of the Democrat Party for public schools to continue to fail our kids? They don’t want our children being too educated less they might end up seeing through the lies.
It’s outrageous, and it’s the taxpayers that have to make the sacrifice while the unions nothing.

And shame on the New York Post for willingly being part of the ruse to mislead the public. The only “dramatic” thing about this deal and this story is the level of arrogance and condescension of the cohorts involved in this carnival sidewhow.

I don’t know if I’ll live long enough to see a Scott Walker type governor in New York. That’s the type of courageous leadership this state needs before all of New York becomes like Detroit.

Guess which political party ran that city into the dust?

WANNABE JIHADI GETS 25 FOR SOUTH PARK THREATS

WHERE IT STARTED
HE couldn't take a joke. A 21-year-old man with far too little to worry about has been sentenced to 25 years in jail after posting online death threats against the creators of TV cartoon South Park.
Zachary Adam Chesser incited violent jihadists to attack the sometimes controversial show's writers for an episode depicting the Prophet Mohammed in a bear suit, court documents said. The humorless headcase posted messages online that included the writer's home addresses and urged fellow travelers to pay them a
visit.
"I accept full responsibility for all of my actions, and I would like to take the opportunity to express remorse," he said in court.
Prosecutors were not moved and said Chesser's actions caused people to fear expressing their opinions--a cornerstone of American libertuy.
U.S. Attorney Neil MacBride said: "The fact that a young man from Northern Virginia could support such violence and terror is a sobering reminder of the serious threat that homegrown jihadists pose to this country."
He pleaded guilty in October to providing material support to terrorists, communicating threats and soliciting others to threaten violence.Chesser converted to Islam in high school.

OHIO COPS BUST SUSPECT IN DRUG EXECUTIONS

TRAGIC LOVERS
COPS IN Ohio have arrested the suspected triggerman in a cold-blooded executions of a young couple. Cops say James P. Leider, 20, has been charged with two counts of aggravated murder and could face the death penalty.

Betheny Mehall, 25, and her boyfriend, Cord Cox, 23, were found shot to death Sunday in a running car in an industrial park near Geneva, Ohio. Police sources told local reporters that drugs were the motivation for the crime and that
Leider and Cox had known each other for several years.
Detectives believe Mehall was an innocent bystander who was murdered to guarantee her silence.
DEATH ROW BOUND?
According to cops, each victim died of a single gunshot to the head, probably Saturday night. A motorist discovered the bodies Sunday. Both had their seat belts on the car was running.
Mehall had a 4-year-old son and both victims were in nursing programs at separate schools.

DID INTERNET "DR DEATH" DRIVE THEM TO SUICIDE?

DR DEATH
DRIVEN TO DEATH?
THE man dubbed "Dr Death" for scouring the Internet and encouraging suicidal people to kill themselves has denied that he had any impact on their deaths.
William Melchert-Dinkel, 48, has pleaded not guilty to two counts of aiding suicide in the deaths of an English man and a Canadian woman.
Prosecutors say the ex-nurse from Faribault, was obsessed with suicide and hanging and that he sought out potential victims on the Internet.
Posing as a woman in chat room and e-mails he then played the role of a compassionate friend, offering step by step instructions on how they could kill themselves.
He's charged in the 2005 hanging death of British man Mark Drybrough, 32, from Coventry, England, and the 2008 death of Kajouji, 18, of Brampton, Ontario, who jumped into a frozen river.
Rice County Attorney Paul Beaumaster said: "These individuals were fragile people. It was the defendant who was suggesting a long-term solution to a short-term problem."
Melchert-Dinkel agreed that he entered into fake suicide pacts with about 10 people, five of whom he believed killed themselves.
But his attorney, Terry Watkins, said that while his client's online activities were "creepy" and "abhorrent," they don't constitute a crime and had no impact on the eventual suicides.
He said: "That minimal communication did nothing, did nothing, to change the acts that had already been put in motion," Watkins said.
"It is not against the law to say, 'I understand, hun, I understand.'"
But The prosecutor said the evidence showed "beyond a reasonable doubt" that he intentionally encouraged both people to kill themselves and he aided in Drybrough's suicide.
Court documents show Drybrough posted a message in a chat room, asking if anyone had instructions on how to hang oneself without access to something high.
He began receiving e-mails containing detailed instructions from Melchert-Dinkel, who was using the name "Li dao."
In the Canada case, evidence shows Kajouji went online March 1, 2008, saying she wanted to commit suicide but was afraid of failing.
Five days later, she participated in online chats with "Cami" -- who prosecutors say was actually Melchert-Dinkel. During the chats, Kajouji said she planned to jump into a river the following Sunday, and Cami said if that didn't work, they would hang themselves together that Monday.
Kajouji disappeared March 9, 2008. Her body was found six weeks later.
The trial continues.

EVIL MOM TELLS DEATH PENALTY JURY: 'I'M READY TO DIE'

TWISTED TORTURE MOM Angela McAnulty told an Oregon death penalty jury deciding her fate she's at peace--whatever their decision. And they decided she should die.
The mother from hell pleaded guilty to aggravated murder in the sickening death of her daughter, Jeanette Maples, 15. She faces execution or life in prison. The shocking slaying stunned even veteran detectives as the court heard witness after detail a catalog of horror.

The young girl was mutilated, tortured, starved and tormented beyond belief. The young girl tried to survive by stealing food from the kitchen, drinking water from the toilet bowl. And she slept on a piece of cardboard--so her blood wouldn't stain the floor.

"I am very sorry for hurting my daughter in a very bad way," McAnulty told the jury and apologizing to detectives who busted her. "I want you to know I did wrong, and I am at peace with your decision."
Prosecutor JoAnne Miller was having none of it.
"We're not talking about an angry drunk," Miller said. "We are talking about a cool-headed killer."
Defense attorney Ken Hadley offered the jury another way to view McAnulty:
McAnulty grew up in an environment where starvation and beatings were inflicted on children as punishment.
