I kinda smell a publicity stunt here. There needs to be an investigation as to why this strap failed at that time.

The Ugly Truth star was at Show West to receive the award for Female Star of the Year when fate dealt the rom-com darling a near devastating blow.
In the middle of her acceptance speech,
one of the straps on her red stunner snapped, threatening to bare Katherine Hiegl's left breast.Fumbling with closure in an attempt to claim modesty, Kat valiantly attempted to continue her speech but the multi-tasking proved to be too much as she was about to be undone.
Luckily, cohost Billy Bush gallantly stepped in and held the offending strap up, allowing for Katherine to finish her speech with closure.
