'MENTALLY COMPETENT' |
The one time party mom's trial was put on hold over the weekend when secret conversations with her lawyers prompted them to ask the judge to examine her.
But according to The Orlando Sentinel, three court ordered psychologists determined that she is mentally competent, so Judge Belvin Perry ordered that the case continue yesterday.
Each was asked to look into Anthony's ability to consult with her counsel with a rational and factual understanding of the proceedings.
They also evaluated her ability to understand the legal process, disclose pertinent facts to her attorney regarding the proceedings, behave appropriately in court, and testify relevantly.
Anthony's attorneys expect to wrap up their case by mid-week, although it still remains to be seen whether they will call their client to stand to answer the charges that she murdered her two-year-old Caylee.
The 25-year-old has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder and could face the death penalty if convicted of that charge.
