THE JUNKIE wife of accused Long Island pharmacy killer David Laffer has pleaded not guilty to her role in the slaughter.
Prosecutor's claimed Melinda Brady helped to plot the robbery,  get rid of stolen drugs, dismantle and bury the murder weapon and concoct an alibi for the Father's Day massacre.
But while the 29-year-old admitted to planning the heist, but claims she had no clue that it involved killing, meaning that prosecutors were only able to charge her with first-degree robbery, instead of murder - much to the frustration of the victim's families.
Rene Mejia whose 17-year-old daughter, Jennifer, was gunned down in the horrendous heist - scoffed at the prosecutions decision not to charge Brady.

He told the NY Daily News: "They are both guilty. I trust in God's law. She drove him there. Maybe if she didn't drive him there, he would not had done what he did.
"Even if she didn't know he was going to do what he did, she covered up his crime afterwards. She should have turned him in. She didn't."
Prosecutor Thomas Spota shared their frustration, but told the court: "We cannot legally prove she knew her husband was armed with a deadly weapon. The law is simply such that we cannot charge her with murder."
Brady, who faces 25-years if convicted  blamed her husband when she was led from police headquarters to a nearby precinct holding cell following her arrest last month.
She said: "He was doing it because he lost his job and I was sick. He did it. He did all of this."
She had previously posted messages on a website discussing her struggles with painkillers.
Laffer, 33, faces first-degree murder charges for allegedly executing store workers Raymond Ferguson, 45, and Jennifer Mejia, 17,  and customers Bryon Sheffield, 71, and Jamie Taccetta, 33.

THE WHACKED out junkie accused of executing four people in a Long Island pharmacy robbery gone wrong has appointed Amy Fisher's attorney to be his legal representative.
David Laffer has picked Eric Nairburg to defend on the charges that he walked into the store, shot and killed the clerk, stole the drugs and killed three other people before fleeing.
The Long Island is best known for defending, Long Island Lolita, Amy Fisher, who like Laffer created national headlines when she plead guilty to shooting her then-lover Joey Buttafouco's wife, Mary Jo, in the head back in 1992.

On her release in 1999 she went on to become a stripper and porn star.

Laffer is unlikely to enjoy anything like such a short sentence, if convicted of the murders of  pharmacist Raymond Ferguson, 45, clerk Jennifer Mejia, 17, and customers Jamie Taccetta, 35, and Byron Sheffield.  
Cops believe and his wife, Melinda Brady, cased various pharmacies in the days leading up to the murders -- narrowing their pick to Haven Drugs in Medford, which they scoped out on the night before the slayings.On Father's Day Laffer is thought to have walked in, stolen the Oxycodone, he and his wife so desperately craved, before lining them up and executing them.   
A source told the NY Post that Brady may be cooperating with prosecutors after she waived her right to be released when she was not indicted by a grand jury in a timely manner.
She is slated to appear before a judge on July 15.

THE man accused of executing four innocent people in a Long Island pharmacy robbery has been formally indicted by a grand jury. Dope Fiend David Laffer, allegedly held up the store and then lined up his victims, before cold bloodedly blasting a bullet into the heads of store workers Raymond Ferguson, 45, and Jennifer Mejia, 17,  and customers Bryon Sheffield, 71, and Jamie Taccetta, 33.
Hours after his arrest the 33-year-old was picked out of a lineup by victim Jamie Taccetta's fiancé, James Manzella -- who had been waiting for her outside the drug store and saw the assassin.
"It was definitely him," Manzella said, according to a police source.
The specific charges in the indictment remained sealed until a date can be
scheduled for a formal arraignment in state Supreme Court, which should happen in the coming days according to Laffer's court appointed attorney, Mary Beth Abbate.
She added that she was happy that her client had been put in protective custody at Suffolk County Jail in Riverhead, where he has held without bail and on suicide watch since his arrest.
She said: "If they put him in the general population there's a lot of strong emotion running around. The jail is not immune to that. Yeah, I am concerned about his safety."
Laffer's wife Melinda Brady, 29, who police say drove the getaway car, was also arrested for third-degree robbery.
She was also charged with obstructing governmental administration.
Brady's scheduled court appearance Tuesday was postponed until July 15, although she could be in court before then if a grand jury returns upgraded or additional charges against her.

LI PHARMACY fiend David Laffer is being constantly monitored, under a 24-hour suicide watch as officials are worried that he will try and take his own life before he comes to trial.
The 33-year-old is accused of lining up workers Raymond Ferguson, 45, and Jennifer Mejia, 17,  and customers Bryon Sheffield, 71, and Jamie Taccetta, 33 and executing each one with a bullet to the head.
It's thought he wanted the Hydrocodone tablets because he and his wife Melinda Brady were addicted to the painkillers.
Correction officers said Laffer, who was forced to wear an anti-suicide suit, was chatty at first but quieted down.
A jail source also told The Daily News that his fellow prisoners were "seething" as word spread that the killer was in their midst. 
And guards feared for the 33-year-old Army vet's safety if he were released into the general population.
The source added: "When they let him go, they won't find pieces of his body. Even the hardened criminals were disgusted that he just killed them for no reason - especially the young girl.
"If they get to him, he won't last long."

THE SLAUGHTER at Haven Drugs was so brutal even veteran cops were sickened by its senselessness. When accused killer David Laffer walked into the drug store Sunday, "his .45-caliber handgun did the talking" according to the New York Daily News.

Prosecutor John Collins said: "He did not announce a robbery. He simply shot first. This defendant is charged with what I would call the most cold blooded robbery homicide in Suffolk county history. He came back behind them and simply executed them by shooting them in the back of the head." Seven bullets and four people were dead in the shocking bloodbath. Laffer, a 33-year-old pill popping army vet, was in court yesterday for a bail hearing. He and his co-conspirator wife, 29-year-old pillhead Melinda Brady were busted Wednesday. Cops say they were both strung out of their heads.

Victim Jaime Taccetta's uncle James Fegel yelled at the scrawny accused killer: "You're a coward for what you did to those families."
Jaime's brother James added: "I think the whole family should be prosecuted. I'm just glad he was held without bail. He'll never see the light of day. He's a coward and a junkie."

THE MAN accused of executing four people in a Long Island pharmacy during a robbery for painkillers has pleaded not guilty to first degree murder. 
The 33-year-old is accused of walking lining up workers Raymond Ferguson, 45, and Jennifer Mejia, 17,  and customers Bryon Sheffield, 71, and Jamie Taccetta, 33 and killing each one with a bullet to the head.
It's thought he wanted the Hydrocodone tablets because he and his wife Melinda Brady were addicted to

Suffolk County prosecutors say they recovered Laffer’s fingerprints at the scene of the shootings Sunday and they also found the gun they say was used in the slayings at his home.
He was picked up Wednesday after an intense manhunt for the suspect seen in surveillance footage wearing a baseball cap, glasses and sporting a bushy fake beard inside Haven Drugs in Medford.
Brady has also been charged with robbery in the case, and told reporters her husband “did all of this” for her.
She was hospitalized and it’s not clear when she would be arraigned.

WHACKED out dope fiend David Laffer who brutally executed four people in a Long Island Pharmacy has always been a gun nut according to family and friends.
Growing up, his father who passed away in 1996, was an active member of the NRA, so the degenerate drug user, who allegedly stole, 10,000 Hydrocodone pills before his brutal slaughter, had learned about weapons young.
Then he served in the army from 1994 to 2002, where weapons training would have been mandatory.
In several Internet postings, Laffer claimed to have served in a military intelligence unit in the Bronx under Ronald Bucca, a heroic fire marshal who was killed on 9/11.
He wrote: "Served with Sgt. Ronald Bucca... in the Bronx. Was my privilege to have served with him. Actually remember speaking to him, on 9/10. Will be forever missed."On the day  Osama bin Laden was killed he again mentioned him, writing: "Hey Buc... May you rest a little easier now… Laffer."
But the mystery remains as to what the connection between the two men, one a hero, the other, the ultimate villain actually was. 
On his Facebook page Laffer also hints as his obsession with weapons mentioning his Springfield XD , a semi-automatic handgun on his page.
He also listed one of his favorite TV shows as "Deadliest Warrior" a series that pits historical and modern warriors and weapons against each other to determine the deadlier of the two.
Hours after his arrest Laffer was picked out of a lineup by victim Jamie Taccetta's fiancé, James Manzella -- who had been waiting for her outside the drug store and saw the assassin -- and was then hauled off to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital's emergency room for treatment of minor injuries.
"It was definitely him," Manzella said, according to a police source.
It's believed he carried out the killings so he could get the drugs for him and his wife Melinda Brady, who is also thought to be addicted to the drug known as "Hillbilly Heroin". 

He has been charged with the murders of workers Raymond Ferguson, 45, and Jennifer Mejia, 17,  and customers Bryon Sheffield, 71, and Jamie Taccetta, 33.

COPS IN New York arrested today the man they believe is responsible for the Long Island pharmacy massacre on Father's Day. David Laffer, 33, and his wife Melinda Brady were busted by heavily armed cops Wednesday. Described as quiet, one pal told the New York Daily News that Laffer and his wife was had pain pill problems. He had recently lost his job and drug plan. On Sunday, a man walked into a family-owned pharmacy in Medford and executed two employees and two customers. There were no signs of a struggle.
Friend Joanna Martino said: "This past weekend Melinda was trying to find out if anyone knew what hospital she can go to to get a scrip for pain pills." The arrests following an intense three-day manhunt
that had triggered terror on Long Island.
A witness to the arrest said: "They used a battering ram on the door and less than two minutes later they walked a young man out," Spano said. "He walked right by me. He was cuffed behind his back. He looked withdrawn, like a skull. He looked like death. He looked like there was nothing in him. He didn't say a word."

THE WHACKED out dope fiend who butchered four innocent people in a Long Island Pharmacy may strike again because of his desperate lust for painkillers, cops fear.
The NYPD are now warning Physicians and the owners of small drugstores in the area to be wary about anyone "expressing an urgent need for prescription painkillers." 
They are also beefing up patrols near small pharmacies until the crazed triggerman who executed four people--two employees and two customers--one by one at point blank
range - is caught. 
The executions have been called "chilling" and "methodical" by officers who remain at a loss as to why he felt the need to kill his innocent victims, pharmacy employees Raymond Ferguson, 45, and Jennifer Mejia, 17,  and customers Bryon Sheffield, 71, and Jamie Taccetta, 33.
Mejia's sister Leslie, who swapped their Father's Day shift with her sibling said: "She didn't deserve it - not like that. I know she's an angel watching over us now."
Suffolk County police released photographs of the suspect: a man believed to be in his late 20s or early 30s, about 5-foot-8 with a thin build.
He has dark hair, was unshaven or has a dark beard and mustache and wore a white baseball cap and was carrying a black backpack.
Detectives asked anyone with information to call the Homicide Squad at 631-852-6392, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential. Police have offered a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the shooter's arrest.
