MARK GEISENHEYNER MURDERED 2 OVER $222 PAINTING

Cops say the Pennsylvania psycho who murdered a 2-year-old boy and his mom's boyfriend did it over a cheap painting. Mad Mark Geisenheyner, 51, told pals he was caught in 2006 with the $222 painting stolen from the home where he killed the two and shot three others.
Geisenheyner says he was stiffed in an insurance scam involving arson. He was shot dead after a six-hour standoff Monday.
Killed in the rampage were Paul Shay's nephew, Joseph Shay, 43, and 2-year-old Gregory Erdmann, the son of Joseph Shay's girlfriend.

PA. KID KILLER MARK GEISENHEYNER KILLED IN STANDOFF

IT WAS an astonishing confession: Mark Geisenheyner told a friend he hadn't seen in decades that he had just shot 5 people in suburban Philadelphia. Just showed up at the buddy's house. The unidentified buddy quickly sent his wife out of the house and preyed he wouldn't be murdered. When Geisenheyner, 51, finally crashed his buddy got out of the house and called the cops.
According to the pal, Geisenheyner told him of the man he wanted to murder, Paul Shay: ""Guess you never thought you'd see me again." Then he shot Shay point blank in the head.  According to the The Philadelphia Inquirer: Geisenheyner had a long criminal history in Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and New York. Some of the crimes were related to insurance fraud.
Geisenheyner was identified as the lone suspect in the shooting deaths of two people and the wounding of three others in rural Douglass Township, about 50 miles north. All had been shot in the head, cops said. The dead were identified as Joseph Shay, 43, who lived in Yarmouth, Mass., and New York, and Gregory Erdmann, 2. The little boy's mother, Kathryn Erdmann, 37, of Fall River, Mass., was hospitalized in critical condition, along with Paul and Monica Shay, the owners of the property.
ON a 911 call to cops, Erdmann screamed: "I'm shot. I don't know where I am. Please help my baby."
Geisenheyner had been planning to kill Paul Shay for 15 months, cops said.
The killer had vowed not to go back to prison. And when surround by 125 cops, he made good on his vow and was ventilated by police lead.

PA. COP KILLER RICHARD POPLAWSKI GETS DEATH

AMERICA will take vengeance against a Pittsburgh killer who murdered three cops in 2009. Richard Poplawski, 24, was sentenced to die Tuesday for the murders of officers Paul Sciullo II, 36, Stephen Mayhle, 29, and Eric Kelly, 41, on April 4, 2009.
The tragic murders were triggered when Poplawski and his mother started arguing about his puppies peeing on the floor. Things got so intense, she called 911. It took the jury just 90 minutes to render it's verdict.  During the penalty phrase, the killer's attorney trotted out the usual chestnuts: dysfunctional, unloving home life, yada, yada, yada.
Granddad was a racist who hate the government.. No male role model. But lawyer William Brennan made some solid points.

Poplawski's great aunt Joanne Duffy testified: "I've never seen her kiss him or put her arms around and show any kind of affection for him."
The prosecution wasn't biting. Most of his grandfather's vile deeds occurred before the killer was even born. DA Mark Tranquilli posed some fairly pointed questions himself.
He said: "I know another guy who didn't know a father in his life -- (murdered cop) Eric Kelly. How did he turn out?" He added that the doting father of three also helped raise a sister 22 years younger than himself as well as his oldest daughter's child, who he often watched during the day after working an overnight shift. PA. MAN BEAT WIFE, SON TO DEATH: More Father's Day happy talk. Cops in suburban Philly (what's with those burbs?) say a man calmly called 911 and reported that he had beaten his wife Irina Geller Moyer and 7-year-old son to death with a baseball bat. Then, Christopher Moyer, 44, a computer consultant went to nearby train tracks, put his head on the track and was delivered to the hereafter around 1 a.m. Saturday. DEATH IN THE SUBURBS
ACCUSED CANADIAN KILLER NABBED AFTER 14 YRS. IN FLA: The U.S. Marshals arrested a Canadian fugitive wanted for a 1997 murder. Cops say John Boulachanis, 37, was nabbed Thursday in Miami. Boulachanis and another triggerman lured Robert Tanguay to a remote area in the western part of Quebec. Tanguay was then executed by several gunshots to the head. FUGITIVE GUNMAN CAPTURED

COP ERIC SCHMITZ SHOOTS, KILLS TROUBLED SON

THEY were the perfect family, that's what everyone said.  Lt. Eric Schmitz, 56, a veteran cop with the Hatfield Township police force, was regarded by peers and friends as the perfect cop and the perfect father.  Teachers at North Penn High School praised his son Stephen, 17, as a caring and intelligent student. The perfect family, however, was ripped apart in tragic circumstances this week when Eric Schmitz shot and killed his youngest child during a stormy confrontation.
Stephen Schmitz had a history of mental health issues and apparently attacked his father in a fit of rage using a hunting knife.  Eric Schmitz

DA Risa Vetri Ferman did not offer any explanation of what sparked the clash between father and son but said that detectives were currently working to obtain Stephen’s medical records.
The shooting came just one day after Stephen was released from the Horsham clinic, a local mental health center.  Stephen was committed involuntarily for 13 days following an altercation at his home. Eric had summoned police to the home when Stephen had threatened suicide. It wasn’t the first time cops were called to the Schmitz household. On April 30, cops responded to a call from Eric Schmitz when Stephen had become “enraged” according to Ferman. News of Stephen’s death has left the local community devastated.
Even those aware of Stephen’s medical condition were shocked at the circumstances of his death. School principal Burt Hynes said Stephen was about to embark in a career as a filmmaker – and despite his shy disposition, was an extremely talented singer with a natural gift for performing. Kyle Berger, Stephen’s teacher, spoke of the last time he spoke to his student:  "Everything seemed normal," he said.  "It doesn't seem possible that it would be the last time I talked to him."

MICHAEL ERIC BALLARD GETS DEATH FOR PA. MASSACRE

In a fit of blood lust, Ballard stabbed to death his former girlfriend Denise Merhi, 39; her dad, Dennis Marsh, 62; her grandpa, Alvin Marsh Jr., 87; and Steven Zernhelt, 53, a neighbor who heard screams  and tried to help last June 26. DA John Morganelli wasn't sparing
describing the carnage: "slaughter," a "rampage" and a "massacre." The prosecution said if Ballard wasn't a primo candidate for the needle, then no one was. Ballard pleaded guilty last month. Oh, and when he committed them he had just been paroled on a 15-30 jolt for slitting the throat of an Allentown man in 1991 during a deadly botched heist. The jury gave Ballard the death penalty in a lickety split two hours. The defence had sought a life sentence because of the killer's "rough childhood" and "brain damage."
Merhi's mother Geraldine Dorwart said: "It's definitely justice. There couldn't have been any other verdict. This man took our lives away. He got death."
