BAREFOOT Bandit Colton Harris-Moore has sold the movie right to his story for a reported $1.3 million.
The troublesome 20-year-old who has no formal flight training, pilfered at least five planes and dozens of car and boats as he evaded capture for a string of burglaries over the last two or three years.
He is suspected to have committed at least 80 break-ins on cottages and houses in Vancouver WA area, often without wearing any shoes.
But each time authorities got near he'd steal a boat or a plane to escape.  
It's thought that he is incredibly bright Harris-Moore taught himself to fly from manuals, although his landings were often little more than crashes.
Eventually, he flew a light plane from his home in Vancouver Island to the Bahamas, where a $10,000 FBI reward and a huge law enforcement team eventually caught up with him. 
Now it's thought 20th Century Fox have paid $1.3 million for the rights, although a spokesman for the studio said the figure was "highly exaggerated.
His attorney, John Henry Browne, has said his client wants any such money to go to the victims and it is estimated to owe more than $1.4 million in restitution.
Harris-Moore's plea deal is expected to result in a 10-year prison term when he is sentenced in late October. He also faces an assortment of state charges.

BAREFOOT Bandit Colton Harris Moore has pleaded guilty to a spree of sometimes shoeless crimes across nine states and the Bahamas.
The troublesome 20-year-old who has no formal flight training, pilfered at least five planes and dozens of car and boats as he evaded capture for a string of burglaries over the last two or three years.
He is suspected to have committed at least 80 break-ins on cottages and houses in Vancouver WA area, often without wearing any shoes.
But each time authorities got near he'd steal a boat or a plane to escape, even though he had no formal flight training and is believed to have taught himself from manuals.
Eventually, he flew a light plane from his home in Vancouver Island to the Caribbean, landing in the Bahamas, where a $10,000 FBI reward and a huge law enforcement team caught up with him.
Now after pleading guilty he faces a maximum of 78 months in prison and must pay more than $1.4 million in restitution when he is sentenced in October.
Under the 28-page plea agreement with federal prosecutors, Harris-Moore also agreed to forfeit any profits, intellectual property and life story rights from his crimes.
His defense attorney John Henry Browne had earlier said a final deal was complicated in part by the question of whether his client, a high school dropout and self-taught pilot, should be permitted to sell and profit from the rights to his life story.
Delighted U.S. Attorney Jenny Durkan said: "Mr. Harris-Moore's flight from justice has ended. He will spend a significant amount of time in prison and he will not make a dime from his crimes."
Harris-Moore still faces a trial in state court over more than 40 charges filed sparely by four Washington counties in connection with what prosecutors said was a two-year crime spree.

WE'RE not sure if this counts as joining the mile high club.
But Kyle Pearce has been busted for whacking off "to the point of ejaculation" on plane.  
The 25-year-old was reportedly charged with making an "obscene and indecent exposure of his person" on the United Airlines flight from Denver to Spokane apparently without making any attempt to cover up at all.
An 18-year-old woman who was unluckily seated in the row across from him was unlucky enough to have a full view of the disgusting incident. 
She said in written statement: "I heard a noise and looked over and saw his penis. He ejaculated & got some on the seat."
Two passengers sitting directly behind him also saw him.
Grayson Miller, 18,  told The Smoking Gun: "In disbelief, I looked and saw his penis and he was. I hit him with my book in the arm, which caused him to stop and leave to the bathroom."
Pearce faces a maximum of 90 days in prison or a year of supervised release if convicted. He can also be fined up to $5,000.
