RONNI CHASEN SHOT WITH COP'S STOLEN GUN

SUPERSTAR Hollywood Publicist was Ronni Chasen was murdered with a gun stolen from a cop, reports say. The beloved Tinseltown PR woman was driving through Beverly Hills in her Mercedes-Benz after the premier of the movie "Burlesque" when ex-con and career criminal Harold Martin Smith tried to rob her. What happened next is unclear, but by the end of the exchange Chasen's body had been pumped with seven bullets.
Now it's emerged those bullets came from a gun stolen from a cop, although officers remained tight lipped as to the officer involved.
Martin Smith then used the gun to commit suicide before cops could question him about the fatal shooting.
Police Chief David Snowden told The Hollywood Reporter: "That man is the man
that shot her, there is no conspiracy, nothing else was involved."
"I know a lot of people don't like to see it end like that - they'd rather have something more dramatic, but that's just the way it is. The facts are the facts."
It's thought the police revolver was stolen during a burglary in the San Fernando Valley but an official statement from the Beverly Hills Police Department is expected Friday.

4 DEAD IN MASSACRE AT LONG ISLAND PHARMACY

FATHER'S DAY turned into a bloodbath at a Long Island pharmacy Sunday leaving four people dead. Cops say the botched heist happened at Haven Drugs in Medford, New York around 10 a.m. That's when a man entered the family-owned business wearing a baseball cap, sunglasses and brandishing a handgun. The stone-cold killer then executed the four people in the store at the time and fled on foot with prescription pills.
Suffolk County cops say two of the victims, Raymond Ferguson, 45, and Jennifer Mejia, 17, of East Patchogue (who was going to graduate from high school next week) worked at the drug store.

The other two victims, Bryon Sheffield, 71, and Jamie Taccetta, 33, were customers. Residents were left in shock by the sinister massacre.
“It’s not like a CVS,” regular customer Stacy Gallagher told The New York Times. “It’s a very homey environment.”
Other witnesses told the Times the pharmacy’s owner, Vinoda Kudchadkar, collapsed near his store after he learned of what happened Sunday morning.
"This is a vicious, horrible crime," said Chief of Detectives Dominick Varrone. "We suspect that robbery was the motive." Cops have videograb of the triggerman as a massive manhunt got underway on Long Island

JUDGE GEORGE ASSAD'S SON GUILTY OF BELLAGIO HEIST

THE HEIST
ASSAD
OCEAN'S 11 it most certainly wasn't.
Instead Anthony Michael Carleo, the son of high profile former Las Vegas judge, George Assad used a classic stick up technique in the infamous Bellagio Hotel.   Back in November lawmen were left astonished by the thief's nerves of steel as
he walked up to the craps table in one of the most heavily guarded casino's in the World and pulled out a gun, before helping himself to the chips.
He walked out a millionaire.
At the time Sin City Police commented that the robbery which took around three minutes was: "about as quick as you can do it."
Carleo,  a former real estate broker and student who declared bankruptcy in Colorado in May 2009, owing nearly $188,000 in various debts.
The 29-year-old apologized and told a Nevada judge he was "very foolish" for scooping chips from the craps table and pointing a handgun at a valet before jumping on a motorcycle and speeding away on a motorbike.
Then he pleaded guilty to felony armed robbery and assault with a deadly weapon charges that prosecutor Chris Owens said could get him three to 36 years in state prison.
Assad declined to comment.

'GRANNY BANDIT' SUSPECT DENIES CALI. HEIST SPREE

"I FOUND THEM"
THE woman accused of being the "Granny Bandit" has denied having any part in the stick ups outside Southern California department stores. Cops say Dodi Wasbotten, 50, is a pensioner put up artist who waited for her victims outside the shops and then pounced when they came out, brandishing a pistol.
She was dubbed the "Granny Bandit" as she was described as an older looking woman who concealed her face with sunglasses and a scarf. Wasbotten, a grandmother with a history of drug and alcohol use, was picked up as her vehicle matched the
description of the getaway car.
When they searched it detectives found a multicolored scarf and an Airsoft pistol that shoots plastic pellets, according to reports.
Police said they also looked through Wasbotten's wallet and found several credit cards with some of the victim's names on them. But she claimed she "found them."
Unlike Granddad Bandit Michale Mara, 53, who pleaded guilty to holding up more than 20 banks, Wasbotten is denying her role in the robberies.

"STUPIDEST CRIMINAL"
REMEMBER The World's dumbest criminal Rodney Knight?
You know the guy who robbed someone and then posted his picture on his victim's Facebook page.
Well,  old Rodney will have plenty of time to update his status after being given just over three-and-a-half years behind bars.
"Not so Bright" Knight nicked a couple of laptop computers, a winter coat and about $400 during a burglary in early December.
But after noticing his victim, a Washington Post editor's Facebook page was still open on one of the computer's he posted a picture of
himself wearing the coat and holding the money to brag about his crime.
As you can see he didn't bother to cover his face and the 19-year-old was quickly caught up with.At the time cop Kyle Roe said in disbelief: "I've seen a lot, but this is the most stupid criminal I've ever seen."
Knight pleaded guilty in February to charges of second-degree burglary and carrying a gun without a license after he reportedly tossed a gun to the ground and fled after spotting police officers in an alley.
And the DC judge, who didn't ask for a mental examination, gave him 44-months in the big house.
