What does Gregory Meeks (D-NY) have to do to get some National Attention for his Dirty Deeds?

What does Gregory Meeks have to do to get a little respect?

Charles Rangel and Maxine Waters both face ethics trials, but Gregory Meeks, gets nothing of the sort for his efforts.

Why is that?

Where’s the respect among thieves?

Charlie Rangel allegedly failed to pay taxes on millions of unreported income, owns 4 rent-controlled apartments while other New Yorkers struggle to find just one.

Maxine Waters allegedly steered business to a community bank her husband owns a lot of stock in.

But, Gregory Meeks, my congressman from Queens started a non profit for Hurricane Katrina victims and raised over $30,000 for some of the families that needed help.

But, the money never made its way to Louisiana and Meeks is currently under investigation by the U.S. Attorney who wants to know what happened to the missing cash.

Meeks is the Rodney Dangerfield of the Congressional Black Caucus. He doesn’t get the national respect or attention he most rightly deserves for his own brand of sleaziness.

It’s not fair to Missing Money Meeks!

He entitlted to some dap too.

NHS Waiting Lists Rise after Doctors' Hours Cut

America, if you want to know what ObmaaCare will be like, look no further than across the pond in England at their national health care system.

Patients there have to wait weeks for surgeries and its only getting worse.

Can you say, “We’re screwed!”

UK Telegraph

Hospital waiting times have begun to rise again after years of decline following the introduction of European rules on junior doctors' working hours

Waiting times in the NHS had been dropping since the 1990s but the rules limiting junior doctors to a 48-hour week, which were implemented last August, had reversed the trend. Thousands more patients were now waiting longer than 18 weeks for surgery.

Ministers were seeking to renegotiate Britain’s position on the European Working Time Directive, including a possible opt-out for NHS staff.

The Royal College of Surgeons carried out the first comprehensive analysis of how the directive had affected waiting times.

According to the research, the proportion of NHS patients having to wait longer than the 18-week target for non-emergency surgery such as hip replacements had almost doubled from 1.5 per cent 18 months ago to nearly three per cent in March this year.

Waiting times reached an all-time low at the end of 2008, with patients waiting just a few weeks for surgery on average.
However, since the EU directive cut junior doctors’ hours from 56 to 48 per week, these gains had been wiped out, the Royal College said.

According to data from the Department of Health, the number of patients waiting longer than 18 weeks — from GP referral to being treated as an inpatient — fell steadily from April 2007, when almost 34,000 people were waiting, to 8,674 in December 2008.

The figure remained stable at about 10,000 until June 2009, just before the new rules came in, when the rise began.

In March this year, it had risen to 17,515, a level last seen in September 2007.

John Black, the president of the Royal College of Surgeons, said the increase was predictable.

“If you have the same number of patients, no more doctors and ask them to work less then it is inevitable that the time available for elective procedures will reduce and waiting lists grow,” he said.

Almost two thirds of consultants now frequently operated without assistants because departments were so stretched.

Mr Black said most European countries had bypassed the legislation by either not monitoring compliance or, as in Germany and Holland, finding ways around the directive.

“We look forward to this happening in the UK,” he said.
Sir Richard Thompson, the new president of the Royal College of Physicians, said the directive had been a “complete disaster” for both patient care and the quality of training for doctors.

“We are not providing the service or the training that we require,” he said.

“I cannot overemphasise the damage to service provision and to training.”

Bristol Palin Dumps Levi, Again

This is not really the end, I think.

National Enquirer

Hot on the heels of The ENQUIRER's blockbuster story a livid BRISTOL PALIN has given fiancee LEVI JOHNSTON the old heave-ho!"

It's over. I broke up with him," Bristol Palin said after a failed second engagement to baby dada Levi, the father of their 19-month-old son Tripp.

As the ENQUIRER previously reported in a blockbuster world exclusive Palin, 19, confirmed to media that she flipped out after Levi confessed he may have fathered a child with another woman.

During their first split, Levi reunited with an old girlfriend and now she's pregnant. While Bristol did not name the woman, one of Levi's ex-gal pals, has denied he's the father.

Although Levi has been linked to several women, sources told The ENQUIRER exclusively that he could be the father.

Omar Thornton Shoots Up Connecticut Beer and Wine Wholesaler Killing 8

You’re at work doing your job and some fool decides to shoot up the place.

The only good part of this bad story is that the shooter, Omar Thornton shot himself dead too.

Although it was a cowardly way to go.

New York Post

A gunman who killed eight people and himself at a family-owned beer and wine wholesaler in Manchester, Conn., may have been motivated by racial discrimination, the Hartford Courant reported Tuesday.

Omar S. Thornton, 34, reportedly entered Hartford Distributors and fired at employees with a .223 caliber semiautomatic rifle before turning the gun on himself.

Thornton, who is black, had complained about being racially harassed at work, the Hartford Courant reported, citing a woman whose daughter dated Thornton for eight years.

Joanne Hannah said her daughter told her that Thornton complained about the treatment to his superiors, but they did nothing about it.
According to John Hollis, a Teamsters union official, Thornton was a driver at the company who was hired approximately one year ago and was expected to face a disciplinary hearing on Tuesday.

Manchester police refused to confirm the death toll, saying only that there were “multiple victims” and “multiple fatalities.”

The Hartford Hospital confirmed to Fox News Channel earlier Tuesday that one of the three patients it was treating for injuries had died. The hospital said one patient is in critical condition, while another is in fair condition.

Swimming Pools out of Dumpsters: Park Ave Dumpster Diving

Ah, the things White Liberals do. I guarantee all these people are O-bots.

New York Post

The city is turning Park Avenue into a swimming hole.

For the next three Saturdays,
a series of pools made from converted Dumpsters will line the busy thoroughfare between 40th and 41st streets as part of the Summer Streets program.

The 8-by-22-foot pools, which range from 3½ to 4½ feet deep and have their own filtration systems, will be open to 10 swimmers at a time from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Designer David Belt, whose company Macro-sea first debuted the Dumpster pools last year in Brooklyn, says the bins make for fantastic watering holes.

"It's unusual to put a pool in a Dumpster, but we chose Dumpsters because they're highly portable," he said, noting these have never had garbage in them.
"I wanted to do it on Park Avenue because it's the ultimate contradiction. It will be wild to see people swimming on Park Avenue, near Grand Central, in bathing suits -- shocking."

New York jury Convicts Russell Defreitas and Abdul Kadir in JFK Airport Tank Blast Plot

If these two creeps would’ve pulled off this plot, the damage could have been horrific and thousands of lives could have been lost in the Queens neighborhood adjacent to JFK airport.

It only takes one of these plots coming to fruition to remind certain people that our enemies come from within and without.

Islam is a threat to this country!

If we continue to be politically correct in our thinking, we’ll soon learn a painful lesson.

New York Post

Two men were convicted Monday of plotting to blow up jet fuel tanks at John F. Kennedy International Airport, a terror plot that authorities said was meant to outdo the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks and avenge perceived U.S. oppression of Muslims around the world.

A jury in Brooklyn federal court deliberated about five days before finding
Russell Defreitas and Abdul Kadir guilty of multiple conspiracy charges. Kadir was acquitted of one charge, surveillance of mass transportation.

Defreitas, a former JFK cargo handler, and Kadir, once a member of Guyana’s parliament, were arrested in 2007 after an informant infiltrated the plot.

Prosecutors alleged that Defreitas, a 66-year-old naturalized U.S. citizen from Guyana, and Kadir, 58, wanted to kill thousands of people and cripple the American economy by using explosives to blow up the fuel tanks and the underground pipelines that run through an adjacent Queens neighborhood.

Authorities say the men sought the help of militant Muslims, including an al-Qaida operative, in Guyana.

The defendants wanted to set off an explosion “so massive ... that it could be seen from far, far away,” Assistant U.S. Attorney Zainab Ahmad said in closing arguments.

Their vision prompted them to code name the plot “The Shining Light,” the prosecutor said.

Defense lawyers described their clients as clueless trash-talkers who were led astray by the informant, a convicted drug dealer.

“It’s pretty clear that these guys have seen too many Bruce Willis movies and don’t have enough to fill up their time,” Mildred Whalen, the attorney for Defreitas, told jurors.

The government’s case relied heavily on tapes — secretly recorded by the informant — of Defreitas bragging about his knowledge of Kennedy Airport and its vulnerabilities.

“For years, I’ve been watching them,” he said of the fuel tanks while on a reconnaissance mission with the informant.

He also marveled at the lack of security, saying, “No solider. Nothing at all.”

In other tapes, Defreitas ranted about punishing the United States with an attack that would “dwarf 9/11.” He told the informant his U.S. citizenship gave him cover.

“They don’t expect nobody in this country to do something like this,” he said. “They have their eyes on foreigners, not me.”
