FBI officers were stunned by the CCTV footage from the Palos Heights, CA banks which showed a man and a woman wearing eerie plastic faced disguises with slits for eyes, similar to those worn by robbers in the 2010 film.
Cops said the suspects pulled out handguns and forced bank workers to hand over cash before they drove off just before closing time at 1:58pm on Sunday afternoon.
Jumping over the counter they ordered a bank teller and the branch manager to the vault where a Nike duffel bag was filled with money.
Then they made quick getaway in a silver four-door Chevrolet, which was seen driving north, according to police.

Just weeks after former IMF chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn was busted on similar charges, a former chairman of one of Egypt's major banks stands accuses of sexually abusing a maid at The Pierre, a luxury hotel on The Big Apple's, Upper East Side.
Mahmoud Abdel Salam Omar allegedly called the maid to his room on Sunday night to "drop off tissues" cops said.
But once inside the 74-year-old's room Omar would not let her leave and touched her inappropriately. The encounter was not reported until Monday, police said.
NYPD spokesman Paul Browne said detectives found the complainant to be credible and he was being held Monday night at a police precinct.Omar is the former chairman of Egypt's Bank of Alexandria, but is currently an executive with El-Mex Salines Co., according to the salt production company's website.
The hotel attack comes about two weeks after Strauss-Kahn quit as managing director of the IMF, on May 18, after he was charged with sexually assaulting a maid at a different city hotel, the Sofitel, near Times Square. He has denied the allegations, but is under house arrest as he awaits trial.

The prime suspect in the murder of American teen Natalee Holloway called pal Stan Pluijmen to beg for cash, telling him his own mother and brother had turned him down.
They thought he would gamble it away on cards, rather than pay the bill at Lima’s TAC hotel where he had been for five days playing in a poker tournament.
During the forty four minutes the two talked about business plans that apparently involved $25,000 van der Sloot got from the Holloway family in exchange for information about Natalee’s fate reports WITA.
It had been just days shy of five years since Natalee disappeared on a graduation trip to Aruba where she was last seen leaving an Oranjestad bar with van der Sloot.
Van der Sloot never came across with any information after taking the Holloway’s money, which is why he faces U.S. charges of wire fraud and extortion handed down by a grand jury in Birmingham, Ala.
At some point over the next two days Van der Sloot met Stephany Flores a 21-year-old Peruvian student who had just won almost 1800 euros at the casino.
Hotel security cameras show the two of them going into van der Sloot’s room but she never came out.
Van der Sloot claimed they argued after she saw Natalee-related material on his laptop and he killed her during an argument in the heat of the moment.
If prosecutors accept a plea bargain on manslaughter, van der Sloot could serve as little as three years.
His trial is expected within two months.

A controversial decision to send a pharmacist to jail for life for shooting dead a young man who tried to rob his store has caused a storm of protest.
Jerome Ersland was given a life sentence for the first-degree murder of 16-year-old Antwun Parker at an Oklahoma court last week.
The 59-year-old pharmacist shot the youngster six times during an attempted armed robbery in 2009, leading jurors to decide he had acted beyond the limits of self defence.
Dramatic CCTV footage from May 19 2009 shows Antwun Parker and an accomplice running into the Reliable Discount Pharmacy in south Oklahoma City and pointing a gun directly at Mr Ersland.
The pharmacist, who was once an Air Force lieutenant colonel, can then be seen reaching for a pistol of his own before firing at the two young men, with one of the shots hitting Parker to the ground.
After chasing the accomplice from the store, Ersland then gets a second gun before shooting Parker another five times, almost a minute after he fired the first gunshot.
In court, Mr Ersland's attorneys insisted their client had acted in self-defence.

Haunting final picture of young mother Crystal Sweet taken just hours before she and boyfriend were shot dead
This is the unfortunate side of living in the projects in NYC where life can be snatched away for no good reason by a mysterious gunman. In the Sheepshead Bay section of Brooklyn a 5 year old little girl has to face life with a mom.

This is the haunting final photograph of a young mother who was gunned down in a triple shooting that left her boyfriend dead and his brother fighting for his life in hospital.
Crystal Sweet, 22, was believed to be pregnant with her second child when she was shot in the courtyard of a building in Brooklyn, New York, as she made her way home from an all-night party.
She had been photographed just hours before as she left for her night out on Saturday, looking happy and relaxed in an orange dress with a matching handbag.
Her boyfriend, 29-year-old Timothy Walter, who had spent time in prison and was in parole, was shot dead at point blank range during the attack, at about 5am on Sunday.
Miss Sweet, still wearing her beautiful dress, was shot three times in the head and neck. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Mr Walter's elder brother, Cornelius, was also shot several times, and is in a critical condition in Kings County Hospital.
Miss Sweet had got all dressed up to go to a barbecue in Bedford-Stuyvesant with Cornelius earlier that evening, leaving her five-year-old daughter, Lydia, at home with her mother.
According to the Post the pair were met by Miss Sweet's boyfriend when they got off the bus at Sheepshead Bay, where she lived with her family.
Her mother, Josephine Rodriguez, 44, said she was sleeping inside the apartment when the gunshots woke

A WASHINGTON woman is blaming the Twilight series and Robert Pattinson for local cops stonewalling on her daughter's mysterious death. America Gonzalez is claiming that cops in Forks, Washington where the teen vampire series is set, won't look into her daughter's death because it could scare away fans of the series--the Twihards--who arrive in droves to the town and potentially film production. The distraught mom says her daughter, Debra Dawn Grajale, 45, died in February but the death was ruled a suicide. Grajale had earlier threatened to kill herself after splitting with her boyfriend. Her lifeless body was later found inside a storage unit on February 15 and she had toxic levels of medication in her system. Closed case, right? Not so fast mom says. She suspects foul play BECAUSE the storage facility was secured from the outside.
She said: "Forks police are pushing this under the carpet and are covering it up. They did no fingerprinting, no interviewing of any suspects at that time. How could you call it a suicide if you know the door was latched from the very beginning?"
Cops believe despondent Grajale killed herself and that the latch was accidentally locked by the dead woman.

He pleaded guilty on Thursday to two counts of sending threatening communications, one count of mail fraud and one count of wire fraud.
He is facing more than six years in jail and sentencing is set for September. But Dominic Amorosa, defending, said he expected a top sentence of 18 months.

Eventually he settled on a victim Andree "Sara" Bejjani, a VP of a property investment firm who had just moved to the city from Dubai.
Praileau is thought to have entered her home, held a knife to her throat while she lay in bed and attempted to sexually assault her.
But Bejjani fought off the attack and was stabbed and strangled.
He body was found by a maid, face down, nude from the waist down, her nightgown had been pulled up, her throat was slashed, she had a jump rope tied around her neck and there was a 10 inch serrated bread knife stuck in the back of her neck.
Praileau was arrested within hours.
Sara's devastated brother Joe told the NY Daily News afterwards: "I don't really care about the sentence - my sister's life is gone.
"Nothing will bring her back. I'm glad he confessed - finally."

BLACK magic mom Tenitza Colichon forced her seven-year-old daughter to watch as a goat was decapitated and made her eat chicken heart in a bloody ceremony which she thought would protect her.
The twisted mom admitted in court to making her daughter watch as the animal and a chicken were killed in the voodoo ritual in a Paterson, NJ home.
The 33-year-old said she thought the rituals, which also included scratching a religious symbol on the girl's skin, would protect her daughter while she was away doing basic training after enlisting in the army.
The girl later told a teacher what had happened and said it was giving her nightmares and the school contacted police.
When cops searched the home where the ritual was performed turned up dolls, a shrine, religious statues, bones, machetes and bundles of sticks bearing numbers and names.
Some of the items had blood and animal hair on them and matched a description the girl gave about what she had seen.Colichon admitted charges of cruelty and child neglect and faces up to five years probation when sentenced next month.
The priest Palo Mayombe priest Julio Cano and his wife Zahira were also sentenced to a year's probation.

A college student who received an obscene photo from Rep. Anthony Weiner's Twitter account says she's never met the married Queens politico - and backed his contention they're both victims of online pranksters.
"I have never met Congressman Weiner, though I am a fan," Gennette Cordova, 21, of Seattle, Wash., told The Daily News Sunday in an interview. "I've never been to New York or to DC."
She also issued a lengthy statement, complaining about how she's been characterized on blogs and other web sites.
"I have seen myself labeled as the 'Femme Fatale of Weinergate,' 'Anthony Weiner's 21-year-old coed mistress' and 'the self-proclaimed girlfriend of Anthony Weiner.' ... All of this is so outlandish that I don't know whether to be pissed off or amused, quite frankly," she wrote.
The online drama began Friday when a lewd photo appeared in Weiner's Twitter stream addressed to Cordova but visible to all 40,000 of his Twitter followers.
The photo was a crotch shot of a man in form-fitting briefs that left little to the imagination.
It was quickly deleted and Weiner, who was in the middle of Twittering about hockey, said he'd been hacked.
"More Weiner Jokes for all my guests," he Tweeted.

Friday evening I logged onto Twitter to find that I had about a dozen new mentions in less than an hour, which is a rare occurrence. When I checked one of the posts that I had been tagged in I saw that it was a picture that had supposedly been tweeted to me by Congressman Anthony Weiner.

This screaming by Midiaite is very misleading as you’ll see in the below video. George Will doesn’t come close to saying what the headlines says, but does give an inference to it.
However, how Will feels about Palin has more to do with the so-called conservative intelligentsia like Will, David Brooks and others wanting to keep their “intelligentsia card” by trashing Palin.
The media has set the template that one cannot be a member of the intelligentsia and like Sarah Palin at the same time.
Thus anything these guys have to say about Palin has no value to the general public. They’ve become a bunch of “me too” sounding boards for the media and The Left.
I’ve seen this kind of thing before because the conservative intelligentsia also hated Ronald Reagan. That puts Sarah Palin in very good standing indeed!
